Summer Employees

 

Prairie View Municipality is accepting applications for summer employees under the Hometown Green Team Program for the following positions:

 
  • Five Public Works Labourers - two in the Miniota region, and 3 in the Birtle region.  Applicants are required to supply CSA approved steel toe boots.

  • Two Recreation Assistants to work with the Recreation Director to facilitate community events, day camp activities, youth summer programs and sports clinics, special interest workshops and various recreation-oriented duties.  The assistant will work in both the communities of Birtle and Miniota.

Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 29 and possess a full driver’s license.  These positions will be up to 40 hours per week for the potential period of May 1nd to August 31st, 2018.

Park & Pool Coordinator

 

Prairie View Municipality is currently accepting applications for one full-time and one part-time Park & Pool Coordinator. The Coordinator’s will work from the Tourist Information Booth in Birtle.  Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to registering campground guests, providing excellent customer service, daily supervision and reporting of the Birtle Pool Personnel, and collaborating with the Park Caretaker.

 

Full Time position will be up to 40 hours per week for the potential period of May 14 to August 31, 2018.

Life Guards & Swim Instructors
  

Prairie View Municipality is accepting applications for the following positions:
  • Certified Lifeguards for Birtle Beach - Full and Part time
  • WSI Certified Swim Instructors - Part Time

All applicants must hold the following certificates by the anticipated start date: Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard Pool Certificate or Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate or Red Cross Assistant Lifeguard Certificate, Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.

New in 2018 – Red Cross Lifeguard Certification is now recognized across Canada.
