 Financial Assistant – Accounts Payable
Full Time Term Employment Opportunity

Prairie View Municipality invites applications for the term position of a Financial Assistant – Accounts Payable. The term position will commence as soon as possible and will continue to June 2020.   The successful applicant will report to the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and will be active in performing weekly invoice payments, bookkeeping duties for other organizations, and other municipal and administrative functions.  Proficiency with MuniSoft and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) would be a definite asset.

 Employment Opportunities
Summer Employees

Prairie View Municipality is accepting applications for summer employees under the Hometown Green Team Program for the following positions:

  • Public Works Labourers to work in either the Miniota or Birtle area.  Applicants are required to supply CSA approved steel toe boots.

  • Recreation Assistants to work with the Recreation Director to facilitate community events, day camp activities, youth summer programs, special interest workshops and various recreation-oriented duties.  The assistant will work in both the communities of Birtle and Miniota.

Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 29 and possess a full driver’s license.  These positions will be up to 40 hours per week for the potential period of May 1st to August 31st, 2019.

Employment Opportunity
Park Coordinator

Prairie View Municipality is currently accepting applications for one full-time and one part-time Park Coordinator. The Coordinators work from the Tourist Information Booth in Birtle with duties and responsibilities to include; registering campground guests, collecting camping fees, providing excellent customer service, collaborating with the Park Caretaker and other duties as assigned.

Full Time position will be up to 40 hours per week for the potential period of May 13th to September 3, 2019.

WASTE MANAGEMENT OPERATOR
FULL-TIME PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Successful applicant will be responsible for operation and maintenance of Prairie View Landfills – primarily Miniota, as well as waste and recycling pick up at various locations throughout the Municipality. This a physically demanding position in an outdoor work environment.

Candidates must possess a Class 3 Manitoba license or greater, a high school diploma or equivalent and have equipment operating experience. Landfill Operator Certification would be considered an asset.   

Prairie View Municipality offers a comprehensive benefits package with wages as per the current collective agreement.
