If you are looking for a place to Fish in Prairie View and you don't have a boat...no worries. Shortly after you enter the Birtle Riverside Park there are lots of places that you and the kids can cast a line!
If you are in the Miniota Area there are lots of places that you can access along the Assiniboine River. The bridge along highway 83 just south of Miniota is the easiest place to access.
Fishing North of Miniota
Just North of Miniota you turn west at the hydro station then drive 1 mile towards them cemetery where the roads turn south and takes you down into the valley and you will come to the bridge at the bottom of the hill and you can fish along the banks there. Click Here to get there! Picture Below
Another area east of Miniota
Turn east before the bridge. Follow this road approx 4.5-5 miles - the road curves when you come to a couple houses and you cross a small creek then go past a farm with a big red barn (Arrowdale Farms is written on the barn I believe). Keep going and then your next right will take you to the bridge you can fish from. Directions click here
Hooper's Lake
Offers fishing by boat or on the banks. There is a boat launching area just north of the main entrance to the campground here.
