Small town hockey plays a vital role in Prairie View Municipality. Local rinks serve as gathering places for families and neighbors, and brings folks from different regions into the community. The game helps build confidence, discipline and teamwork in our youth - valuable qualities that can be taken and applied to life outside of the rink.
For rural communities in Manitoba, hockey programs are deeply knit into the social fabric. It takes the time and efforts of volunteers, parents, coaches and local business to support our teams and keep our rinks clean and operating smoothly. The results are a strong sense of pride and traditions that last generations.
In Prairie View, we always want to encourage our youth to feel connected, engaged and active - and our hockey programs have shaped teams that we're proud to call our own!
