There are exciting new things happening in the Prairie View Municipality. The oil drilling and production is booming along the west side of the municipality. The nearby potash mines are expanding with PCS Rocanville well into its 2.8 billion dollar expansion project and Mosaic at Esterhazy just embarking on its 1.5 billion dollar expansion.
These industries have brought and continue to bring many new people to the area. PCS Rocanville continues to hire additional permanent employees while Mosaic expects 100 new permanent positions with its expansion.
In addition, the fertile farm land supports mixed farming operations and related agribusinesses for our area's traditional agriculture based economy.
PVM is also pleased to announce they have joined in the Park West Fibre Optic Co-op which will see the installation of Fibre Optic to all schools in our municipality, with the goal of one day seeing this service available to the residents and businesses of the communities of Prairie View.
This picturesque landscape with rivers, valleys and capturing vistas offers a community where home is like a resort but with the services and amenities of community.
Nestled right in the middle, is our municipality which is thriving with amenities, offers beautiful views, and is always looking to expand. If you are interested in investing, working, or a starting a business in any of our communities, please feel free to contact either of our local Economic Development Officers.
