Morning Star Daycare - Birtle                                                  Our daycare meets the needs of adolescent parents completing their high school education, as well as providing child care to Birtle and surrounding communities. Morning Star Daycare Inc is a non-profit organization established in 1999 and located in Birtle Collegiate. Our goal is to provide high quality early learning and child care to the children in our centre. We strive to meet the needs of each individual child along with providing purposeful learning in a positive, safe and secure environment.

We provide care to infants (aged 3 months to 2 years), preschool aged children (aged 2 to 6 years) and school age children (aged 6 to 12 years) for before and/or after school care along with care on Inservice/school holidays and summer break.

Play is children’s work and we provide a nurturing environment that helps support that very important work. We celebrate with the children in our care when they master new skills. From there we help support them to develop further through thoughtfully planned activities, open ended art, child lead activities, play materials and toys that help foster that learning all through play. Our children have ample opportunities throughout the day to play outdoors and take in all that Birtle has to offer.

 Our Nursery School program offers sessions for Junior (3 year olds) and Senior (4 year olds) throughout the week. We offer Nursery School up to 5 days a week. Junior Nursery School runs from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and Senior Nursery School runs from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Children do not need to be enrolled in daycare to participate in this program.
