Wildlife Watching
Prairie View Municipality is ideal for bird & wildlife watching. We've been featured in Manitoba Wild by author Bill Stilwell, as well as Wildlife Management Areas. These spaces play an important role in biodiversity conservation and are definitely worth exploring.

Birtle Beach
A sand bottomed chlorinated beach is located at the Birtle Riverside Park. It's a fantastic location for watching the fireworks on Canada Day!
Geocaching & Adventure Labs
Prairie View offers geocaching and Adventure Labs in both Birtle & Miniota. Geocaching is a fantastic outdoor activity for all ages.

Kayak & Canoe
Birtle has a launch point on the north side of town, along Kent Street.
Miniota's launch point is one mile west off of 83 Highway on Road 78N.
At Hoopers Lake, small boats can be launched at the beach area - or head north to boat launch.

Prairie View has trails for all seasons!
Snowmobile Trails
There are many areas to snowmobile in Prairie View!
Pickleball
There are pickleball courts located at the Birtle Riverside Golf Course. Inquire about paddle & ball rentals at the clubhouse.
Playgrounds

You'll find more than a few beloved playgrounds in our municipality - check out the Miniota Town Square & Birtle Beach!
Mini Golf
Foxwarren has a 9-hole mini-golf course. Clubs and balls are available for use by the bench outside during the summer months. Donations can be made to the Foxwarren Leisure Centre!
Farmers Markets
Held in the summer months and a great chance to grab some local produce, baking, crafts and more. Follow Birtle Centre for the Arts, Birdtail Country Museum and Miniota Farmers Market on Facebook for all the info!

Dog Park
Birtle Lions Pooch Park is located just off Highway 83, at the west end of Birtle. It's a great stop for a game of fetch or to meet up with your doggy friends!
Hockey & Curling
Prairie View hosts many Community Centres for you to enjoy hockey, public skating, shinny & curling.
Sledding
With many hills and valleys there are many spots to enjoy a ride on your sled. A popular area is the Birtle Elementary School Hill.

A world-class archaeological site and the only known single-component campsite of its kind in Canada, Wakpa Tanka Lookout offers visitors a unique window into the land's history.
